Being in company with Florian meant and means for me being light, humorous and equilibrated. I still admire Florian´s way to approach the world with an inner welcome and an enormous tolerance. His way to focus on what is there, on what is positive, on what there is to be discovered at the very moment - and in the best case, laugh about it together - this focus always strikes me anew, whenever we meet. He himself might not approve, however, I perceive him as one of the happiest persons I have met in my life. - And where was our first encounter? In Bangkok, of course, at Merck Thailand, where our friendship started. And of course, my friend Heinz Landau was the match maker. I am grateful to both of them.
